PITCH
MOD

Laid out like the SMK-37: the wheels, the screen with its six buttons, K1..K8 over the 16 pads, the faders over the 2 x 6 buttons, the keys below. Every key speaks the next word of the sentence at its pitch; a pad picks one of the bank's 16 sentences (K4: the bank, K3: the voice, K2 or KNOB BANK / FADER BANK: the page, K5..K8: the page's four as the screen shows them, K1: MASTER).

PATCH: MOPE, the gloomy robot. Play it something and it tells you what it thinks; every control talks to it. Pads 1-8 praise it, 9-12 poke it, 13-16 ask for a joke; sometimes it asks for a light game on the pads; bored enough, it plays a sad tune of its own. PATCH again: back. PATCH held: the 16 memories on the pads (a tap loads, held 1 s saves).

Knobs: drag up / down or the mouse wheel. Keys: lower on a key is louder. Computer keyboard: A W S E D F T G Y H U J K = the keys, Z / X = the octave, 1-8 = the top pads, M = PATCH, arrow keys = < >. A MIDI keyboard plays along (Web MIDI, where the browser has it). The settings, memories and USER sentences are kept in this browser as the unit keeps them in flash .

The simulator runs the firmware's C sources (the speech, the drums, MOPE, the screen) compiled to WebAssembly, in fixed point as on the keyboard, at its sample rate (44118 Hz). It is not an installer: the firmware itself is on the site. GPL-3.0, sources in genkigenki/Speak37 (web/sim).
